Ruyle rites set in Tulsa
A rosary for Arapaho native Geneva Marie Ruyle, 96, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Tulsa with mass following at 11 a.m. Friday.
The rosary will be at the Eastlawn Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on S. Memorial, with the mass at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Ruyle died Monday, May 15, 2006, at her home in Tulsa.
She was born July 18, 1909, in Arapaho,Custer Co.,OK the daughter of William and Anna Belle Hughes.
Her husband of 57 years, Joseph B. Ruyle, preceded her in death, as did her oldest daughter, Anna Pauline Richardson.
Mrs. Ruyle's favorite Bible passage was from Genesis, "Go forth and multiply and fill the earth." She did her part, giving birth to 13 children. Six sons and six daughters survive, along with 46 grandchildren and more than 100 great and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives still living in the Clinton and Arapaho area.
The sons and their surviving spouses are Joseph Erwin Ruyle and wife Jane, of Tulsa; James William Ruyle and wife Sherry, Wagoner; George Edward Ruyle and wife Julie, St. Peters, Mo.; and Jon Nelson Ruyle, Donald Matthew Ruyle, and Charles Mark Ruyle and wife Jan, all of Tulsa. The daughters are Patricia Marie Gay and Stella Ruth Gay, both of Concord, Ark.; Theresa Genell Carroll and husband Dennis, of Texas; and Frances Claire Conley, Dianna Eugenia Rogers, and Marge Stallings and husband Steve, all of Tulsa.
