Mrs. Roberta Keener, 80, who made her home at 28 Thompson St. for some time, died early today at Mentor-Way Villa, Mentor, after an illness of more than a year.

Born in a residence on Lake St., Mrs. Keener was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Hobday Bartholomew, and spent most of her life in Perry. She was a member of the Erieside Rebekah Lodge and Perry Methodist Church, and was well-known in the community.

Surviving are a son, Harold A. Taft, of Perry; two stepchildren, Mrs. Gertrude Sherbundy of Willard, and Eldon Keener of Newport, R. I.; a sister, Mrs. Mabelle Reutenic of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a brother, Kelsey A. Bartholomew of East Bradenton, Fla., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A son, Bernie, died a month ago. Mrs. Keener also was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin.
