Alfred was born Aug. 25, 1929 in Pontiac, the son of the late John H and Anna Amolts Eggenberger. He attended Eggenberger school and graduated from Saunemin High School in 1947. During the Korean conflict he served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Eggenberger worked for 30 yrs for the fertilizer company and the LP Gas service for Saunemin. He was of the Catholic faith. He had also served as a volunteer for many years on the Saunemin Fire Department.
