BELLARMINO, SR. M. BONAVENTURE -
Sr. M. Bonaventure Bellarmino, of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the sacred Heart, Peekskill, died on March 5, 2000 at the Sisters Infirmary, Mt. St. Francis. She was 84 years old.
Sr. Bonaventure was born in Patterson, NJ on June 5, 1915. She entered the Congregation on September 8, 1932 and professed her first vows in 1934.
From 1935 until 1961 she taught in schools in NY and NJ. She then was Dean of Students at Ladycliff College until the College closed in 1981.
From that time until 1997 she was director of records for both the college and the former St. Josephës Home.
Sister is survived by a sister, Mrs. Philomena Donnelly of New Jersey and nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at the Sisters Cemetery.
