Robert Dale Davis was the oldest child of Henry Davis Jr and Imogene Fowler Davis Goble. He was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. He was also the first grandchild of Henry and Ara Davis. He had four younger sisters that adored him.
Robert Dale graduated from Hiram Johnson High School and went to work for his uncle Bob Davis at Southgate Building Supply. He spent his weekends hunting and fishing with his dad and uncles.
In 1971 he met Joyce Masters and they were married in Nevada on June 4, 1972. They had their oldest daughter in 1973 and their second daughter in 1976. Joyce went into premature labor and Robert Dale delivered the baby in their bathroom floor. He was thrilled that it was his signature on her birth certificate. Not as the parent but as the person that delivered the baby.
On February 23, 1990 Robert Dale lost the love of his life. Joyce died suddenly from a hidden heart condition. He was devastated but pushed forward. In June 1991 his Uncle Tom and Aunt Kathryn invited him to join them in British Columbia. He thoroughly enjoyed himself and said it was the best fishing trip he had ever been on. He made plans to return to BC in September to do a little more fishing.
