The War Department has been informed that Capt. Magnus O. Hollis of the 4th Infantry died in the hospital at Manila of acute dysentery on the 15th instant. Capt. Hollis was a native of Georgia, and a graduate of the Military Academy in the class of 1882. His entire service was in the infantry. He accompanied his regiment to the Philippines in December last, and served with courage and credit.
