Mr. Lindsay Peel, keeper of the county infirmary, died Feb. 9, after a short illness from pneumonia. His death was a very sad blow to his family, as he leaves a wife and seven children. Lindsay Peel was an honorable man and had the confidence of all who knew him. He leaves five brothers, Thomas, George, William, Hugh and Jordan Peel, and two half brothers, Joseph and Squire Peel; also two sisters, Mrs. Caroline (Robert) Wylie and Mrs. Elizabeth (John) Barker. He was born in 1864. The funeral services were conducted from the late residence, Sunday, Mr. B. M. Arnett officiating.
