Murder Victim. One of the victims of the DC Beltway Sniper, he was killed while filling the gas tank in his cab at the local Mobil station. At the age of 18, he immigrated to the area for studies at Montgomery College. He sent funds back to India; helping his siblings immigrate to the states. After he retired from a magazine business, he worked part-time as a cab-driver; he was planning to retire soon and return to India. Per Indian tradition, his brother selected his bride; they had a son and a daughter. On that day he left for work extra early, intending to take part of the day to celebrate the beautiful weather. A traditional Indian funeral service was held at Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tacoma Park.
