Born February 13, 1903, he is the son of Arthur Morton Butt and Grace Robertson of Clay County. He graduated from Staunton High School in 1922, and he married his high school sweetheart, Verna Catherine DIERDORF, Sept 19, 1928.
A retired dairy farmer, he was elected to the board of directors of the Virgo County Milk Producers Association in 1951, where he served several terms until poor health forced him to sell his dairy herd.
