Lola E. Padoshek

Lola passed away March 10, 2011, in Southern California. She was a Wenatchee native, born to parents, Ted and Ruby Wesslen, on July 1, 1928. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1946, and worked as an usherette at the Liberty Theater and later, as a Secretary at the Coca Cola Bottling plant. She married Bill Padoshek here at the Presbyterian Church on August 2, 1951. Lola had lived in California since 1952, where she raised a family, served twice as PTA President, always enjoying her bridge club and family gatherings. Although she moved to California, she carried her love of Wenatchee with her and nurtured lifelong friendships from high school with annual trips to Wenatchee and eagerly attended her high school reunions. She was a loyal friend, devoted to family, one who loved birds, animals and home grown tomatoes. She had a vibrant, infectious sense of humor, a generous heart and a timeless beauty. She leaves a legacy of love and a grateful family.
She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Christen (Ed) Leveque. She is survived by her sister, Wanda (Harold) Bradford; her husband, Bill Padoshek; daughters, Wendy (Jeff) Romano and Susan (Stephen) Duhm; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held Friday, March 25, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Chapel in Wenatchee, with Interment following at the Wenatchee City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
