Beloved husband of 58 years to Josephine Rogers; loving father of Connie Beegle of Herron, MI, Kellie (Matt Bootman) Rogers of McMurray, PA, Angie (Jim) Sherwood of Merriam, KS and Julie (Herschel) Smith of Arnold, MO; devoted son of Beulah Rogers and the late George Rogers; cherished Papa of Keith, Kevin, Harley, Jake, Sarah and Molly; great grandfather of Ashley, Mikayla; brother of Helen Hadley, Duane Rogers, Gary Rogers and the late Eugene Rogers; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. John was a WWII Veteran, a member of the 70th Infantry Division European Theater, lifetime VFW member and worked for Oldsmobile for 32 years. J.R. was an avid quilter, golfer, bridge player and dancer. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., Peters Twp., 724-941-3211 Tuesday 4-7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Wed. 10 am in St. Benedict the Abbot Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
