This monument erected / by the affection of a friend, / Is sacred to the memory of / Miss Lucy Palmer Richmond / daughter of / Reverd Edward Richmond / who died October 25, 1816 / Æt. 20 / "Her smiling dawns, propitious ray / Swell'd high each hope and brightly beam'd / When infant dew drops fled away over new charms appeared each virtue gleames / Ere noon to pale disease a prey / She fell we mourned her her fleeting day [Stone condition: badly faded, located in the bushes above the roof of the Adams Tomb].
