Funeral service for Mrs. Alma (Edward W.) Rahn, 82, of Lanark will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Brethren Church, The Rev. David Cooksey officiating. Burial will be in Lanark Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 p.m. To 9 p.m. Sunday at Frank Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in her name for the First Brethren Church. She was dead on arrival Friday morning at Freeport Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. She was a country schoolteacher in the Lanark area before her marriage and later served 20 years as dietician for the Lanark schools. She was a member of the Lanark First Brethren Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She was born October 24, 1899 in Mount Carroll, a daughter in Harry and Elizabeth (Legel) Force. She married Edward Rahn Oct. 11, 1924. He died in 1951. Survivors include two sons, Joel of Omaha, Neb., and Ronald of Lanark; a daughter, Mrs. Delores (William) Wenzler of Milwaukee, Wis., 12 grandchildren, and a great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and two sisters.
