Obituary - Frederick E. Abrams, 73, of 17 Bay Lane, Brookhaven, died last Thursday at his residence.
Born in Blue Point, he was a life resident of this area, and was a retired bay constable. He was a charter member, life member and ex-chief of the Blue Point Fire Department, and a member of the Suffolk County Republican Club and the Golden Age Club of Blue Point.
He is survived by his wife, Alice of Brookhaven; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Buniski of Brookhaven, and Mrs. Shirley Sampogna of Islip Terrace; a sister, Mrs. Frances Still, of Blue Point, and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Fire Department services were held Saturday evening at the Ruland Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, the Rev. Richard W. Gray, rector of St. James Episcopal Church of Brookhaven, officiating. Interment was in Blue Point Cemetery.
