John Millard Franks was married to Virginia Terrissa Murray Dec 6, 1893 in Buncombe Co., NC. They never had children. He was a half brother of Cornelius Franklin Frank, almost 30 years younger than Cornelius. He was known as Uncle John by Ralph Raymond Frank, even though he was a great uncle. The executor of JM Franks estate was Ralph R. Frank, as they were close. I have in my possession the desk of JM Franks and a mechanical pencil of his.
Cornelius Franklin Frank dropped the (s) from his father's last name.
