Alvin Frank Kronforst, Jr. 81, of Green Bay, passed away on April 13, 2011. He was born on January 14, 1930 to the late Alvin and Loretta (Halada) Kronforst, Sr. in Cooperstown, WI. Alvin was a graduate of Mishicot High School. He married Dolores Dobinski on January 24, 1953 at Sacred Heart Church, Two Rivers. Alvin served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Alvin spent most of his adult life in Green Bay. His children were raised in Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay. He worked most of his life for Schuster Construction in Green Bay, and later co-owned Nevin Construction in Green Bay. Alvin served as Director of Public Works in Sturgeon Bay. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and trips to Las Vegas.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen (Kevin) Chaudoin, Ely, MN; Lynn (Michael) Blunt, Fountain Hills, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff (Julie) Kronforst, Stoughton, WI; five grandchildren, Kelly Chaudoin, Lindsey, Joseph, and Ashlee Kronforst, Tyler Blunt; two sisters, Janet Kempen and Margie Kostechka both of Mishicot.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Kronforst and his parents Alvin and Loretta Kronforst.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 2-5pm Sunday. A private family service will be held. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
