ELLA HENSCHEL

Mrs. Ella Henschel, 89, of the Town of Memee, died Monday morning at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, where she had been a patient for a year.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley. The Rev. Richard Ulrich will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Henschel, nee Ella Arnnoldi(sic), was born Nov. 8, 1882, in the Town of Herman, daughter of the late Carl and Sophia Meyer Arnoldi(sic). She was married to Louis Henschel Oct. 8, 1904. The couple operated the Henschel home farm until retirement in April of 1948. Her husband preceded her in death in November of 1952. She then made her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Henschel.
She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley, and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Survivors include two sons, Leslie, of School Hill and Harvey, of Rt. 1, Newton, two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Erna) Schmitt, of Kiel and Mrs. Clarence (Verona) Stolzmann, of Cleveland; a brother, Clarence, of Howards Grove; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A son, Herbert, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, after 4 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and from noon at the church until the time of service.
