On September 1, 1931 she married second to Francis Marion (Frank) Wampler, who was several years older than she. They lived in West Alexandria, Preble County, Ohio for the remainder of their lives.

Her death certificate indicated that she died from heart troubles. The obituary indicated that she died at home at age 73 and had a surviving brother, Charles T. Miller. The informant for her death certificate was Sherman Miller of Richmond, Indiana. The grave marker for Ella & Irvin is adjacent to that of her second husband, Francis M. (Frank) Wampler. Irvin Buck's parents are also buried in Brown Cemetery.
