Barbara Ellen "Ella" Buck Wampler was the daughter of Ramsey Miller and Sarah Hapner. Her death certificate lists her maiden name as Barbara Ellen Miller. The 1930 census lists her as Viola E. Her first husband was Irvin Buck, who died in 1918. She worked as a housekeeper afterwards. It is likely that she kept house for her second husband before they were married. On September 1, 1931 she married second to Francis Marion (Frank) Wampler, who was several years older than she. They lived in West Alexandria, Preble County, Ohio for the remainder of their lives.

Ella's grave marker does not show her death date but her marriage certificate to Frank Wampler, her death certificate, and a short obituary were all found in 2014 by Kim Romine, clearing up several mysteries regarding her later life. Her death certificate indicated that she died from heart troubles. The obituary indicated that she died at home at age 73 and had a surviving brother, Charles T. Miller. The informant for her death certificate was Sherman Miller of Richmond, Indiana. The grave marker for Ella & Irvin is adjacent to that of her second husband, Francis M. (Frank) Wampler. Irvin Buck's parents are also buried in Brown Cemetery.
