Dies Suddenly This Morning
Mrs. Jessie McGowan, passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. B. H. Niemeyer, on Hager street, after being sick only a few days with pneumonia. She was first taken ill with influenza, her husband having had the malady first. She is 29 years of age and leaves to survive her mother and husband, besides a number of other relatives and friends.

Obituary of Mrs. McGowan
Miss Cora Ester Niemeier was born in Barrington, Ill., June 6, 1889, and passed away September 26, 1918, at the home of her mother on Hager street, after being ill only a few days. She was united in marriage to Mr. Jesse McGowan April 23, 1913, and they had resided in this village since that time.

Deceased is survived by her husband, mother, five sisters* and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. William Stockel, of Quentin's Corners; Mrs. John McGowan, of this village; Mrs. E. C. Sinnett, of Green Bay, Wis.; and Mrs. Reuben Homuth, of Barrington. The brother, Leslie, resides in Grand Rapids, Wis.

Mrs. McGowan was a member of the local M. E. Church, and manifested significant interest in her support and encouragement of the work of Christianity.

Her sudden departure brings deep sorrow to a large circle of relatives and friends, who will long remember her pleasant ways and cheerful spirit.

Funeral services were held from her late home last Saturday afternoon, Rev. John E. DeLong, pastor of the M. E. Church officiating.
