Perry Linn Southern was born on June 16 1953, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Sam Southern and Delores Perrine Southern. He passed from this life on Thursday.April 14, 2011 in Pawnee, Oklahoma having reached the age of 57 years, 9 months, and 28 days.He attended school in Blackburn, and graduated with the Pawnee High, School Class of 1972. He married the love of his life, Carol Jean Sharpnack on May 1, 1976 in Blackburn and they lived in Cleveland and Skedee before moving to Pawnee in 1995. He worked for the Quapaw Co, before working for the Cleveland and Pawnee Post Offices for 28 years.
He loved spending time with his family and "PaPa" loved his grandkids and loved to brag about them. He had a big heart and was always willing to go the extra mile to help others. He wanted no recognition for helping others and sometimes they didn't know he was the one who helped them.Many of his mail route customers will miss him greatly. He always had a wave and would continue on his way. He also loved the Minnesota Vikings,and enjoyed the time he spent helping care for his father-in-law "Whooty" before he passed away on
March 27,2011.
Perry is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Southern,
Pawnee, Oklahoma; daughter, Amy Soutter and her fiance Edgar Brewer, Pawnee, Oklahoma;son,Barry Southern and his wife Alicia,Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandchildren,Chloe Southern,Baylee Soutter, Sadie Brewer, Jayden Brewer and Weslan Brewer; sister, Sheryl Adams and her husband, Eddie,Pawnee, Oklahoma; brother, Dennis Southern and his wife Jody, Pawnee, Oklahoma; twin brother,

Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday,April
18,2011 at the First Baptist Church,Pawnee, Oklahoma with Rev. John Branson and Rev. Mike Weaver
officiating. Interment was at Woodland Cemetery,
Cleveland, Oklahoma, under the direction of Poteet
Funeral Home, Pawnee, Oklahoma.
