Mary was the wife of Albert Matthews. They were married in approximately 1865 in Georgia. I have seen the date, March 18 in Haralson, but have not found recorded proof. If anyone has information on this family, please e-mail me. There seems to be confusion between Albert and Elbert. They are two separate people. They are listed together on the 1850 Census of Paulding County, Georgia. They are the sons of Burrell Matthews. Together Mary and Albert had at least 6 children. Not being able to prove date of marriage, it is unclear if Charlie (the oldest) belongs to Mary or a first wife.
