Franklin was the son of Jacob and Barbara Boyer. At age 12 the family moved to Rossville, Indiana, in 1873 he moved to Illinois. On Mar 8, 1877 he married Mary M Bushheart in Casner, Illinois. Mary was born Sept 21, 1855 in Lima, Ohio. In 1903 Frank and Mary moved to Maine Twp, Linn Co, Iowa. Frank acquired 160 acres of land west of Roger's Crossing in Otter Creek Twp. Their children were: Grace, Mae, Lynn L, Faye, Leone and Florence who died at age 5 on April 29, 1905. On Dec 5, 1929, Frank suffered a severe stroke and died on Dec 9, 1929. Both Frank and Mary are buried at Jordans Grove Cemetery.
