Altana Niemann Died Thursday

Mrs. Altana R. Niemann, 76, resident of Syracuse all her life, died early Thursday morning, February 1, in Community Memorial Hospital. She had been ill several years and hospitalized for some time.
Daughter of Mr. And Mrs. William Powell, early day residents of this community, she was born Jan. 6, 1892. She married Herman Niemann here on March 5, 1919.
Mrs. Niemann was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Syracuse.
Surviving are her husband, Herman; a sister, Mrs. Zenith Stong, Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, three brothers and a sister preceded her.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at St John’s United Church of Christ with Rev. Wayne Wetz officiating. Burial was in Park Hill Cemetery here.
Pallbearers were Walter Zahn, Louis Witte, Evart Pickering, Herman Bartling, Herman Teten, Hall Severs.
The family suggested memorials to Good Samaritan Home here.

Altana Niemann Died Thursday

Mrs. Altana R. Niemann, 76, resident of Syracuse all her life, died early Thursday morning, February 1, in Community Memorial Hospital. She had been ill several years and hospitalized for some time.
