Doris Backus of Bloomington died Sunday at Villa Health Care Center in Riverside of a stroke at the age of 84. Survivors include her two sons, Joe of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Eugene of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, three daughters, Patty Massey of Riverside, Kathi Oates of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania and Mary Higinbotham of Bloomington, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Montecito Memorial Park with interment to follow at Montecito Memorial Park. Published in the SAN BERNARDINO SUN, October 6, 2001
