Mr. Billy Mayfield Sr., 86, of Oklahoma City died Sunday, April 17, 2011. A native of Keota he was born July 14, 1924 to Willie and Lillian (Conley) Mayfield. He grew up at Keota where he received his education. He was married to Irene Levingston on August 12, 1944 at Keota. They made their home together at Keota until 1965. They moved to Oklahoma City and Billy began a career with the Associated Milk Producers Inc. until his retirement in 1987. Billy was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing. He is survived by four sons, Billy W. Mayfield, Larry D. Mayfield, Jimmy Lee Mayfield, and Gary L. Mayfield all of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Judy Diane Raniag of Oklahoma City; one sister, Lois Long of Stigler; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Mayfield; two children, Brenda Joyce Mayfield and Tony Ray Mayfield; one brother, Arthur F. Mayfield; two sisters, Bertha Marie Lloyd, and Nora Coffman. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rick Stout officiating. Pallbearers will be Ron Raniag, Juan Delgado Jr., Chris Conner Jr., Ryan Mayfield, Nathan Perez Jr., and Jonathan Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers include Chris Conner Sr., and Trey Conner. Burial will follow at Keota Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
