Mr. Adkins was born November 14, 1954, to James "Red" and Martha Ann (Glover) Adkins in Bowie, Texas. He married Shirley Smith on August 27, 1976, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was owner of Adkins House Movers in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

Christopher Adkins and his wife Jennifer, all of Wichita Falls, Texas
Four grandchildren, Hailey Adkins, Landon Adkins, Christy Adkins and Bowen Adkins; three sisters, Mary Ann Pritchard Wilkerson, Lounette Decker, Carla Taylor and Jaunia Cullar, all of Wichita Falls, Texas
One brother, Jerry M. Adkins of Wichita Falls,Texas.
Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by his parents.
