Norman lived most of his life in Pittsburgh where he was active in political and fraternal groups and served as a member of the City Council. He was a member of Swissvale Methodist Church, a life member of Homewood Lodge 635 F & A M; a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose and of the Western Reserve Legion, Mooseheart Legion of the World.
