Susanna A. Miller married Robert Aten, son of Catherine Smith and Robert Aten of Northampton Co. Pennsylvania, on March 28, 1858. Robert was a widow with three children Margaret E., Mary Ann, and John. The Aten's moved from Holmes Co. Ohio to Hicksville, Ohio in 1868 to be near Susanna's siblings; Elizabeth, Catharine, Sarah, John, Abraham, and Isaac lived there. Also, Robert's aunt, Abigail Aten, Albertson wife of Edward Albertson lived in Hicksville.
