Gary Lee Butler, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 69. Gary was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on May 16, 1941 to Ferman Samuel Butler and Verna Marie Trammell Butler. Gary was married on June 18, 1967 in San Leandro, California to Joan G. Pierce. Gary served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Viet Nam conflict. After his military service, he worked for Southwestern Bell as a phone technician and retired after 39 years of service. He is preceded in death by both his mother and father; 2 sisters, Betty Jo Butler and Verda Jean Butler; and a niece, Karie Marie Bates.
