Merle O. Page, 74, of 222 E. 15th Street, died Thursday in a local hospital.

Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home, with the Rev. Irvin Burlison officiating. Burial will be in Chapman Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Eagles Heart Fund.

Mr. Page was born Feb. 11, 1903, at Central City, to Adolph and Lenora Nichols Page. He attended school at District 74 and Grand Island, when the family moved here in 1911.

He married Maria Beyer on May 31, 1935, at Grand Island and worked at service stations and at the ordnance plant in World War II.

He was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 378.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert [Carolee] Tilson of Lexington; a brother, Harry of Grand Island; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Gebhart [sic, Gephardt] of Grand Island and Mrs. Harriet Kranz of Norwalk, Calif.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.
