James Houston Vincent, 81, of Central City, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County Aug. 31, 1926, he was a United States Army vetran and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Doss Vincent; 3 children, Clarence Tudor Doss, Max Doss and Betty Sullivan; and 2 brothers, Forrest Lyndell Vincent and Johnny Vincent.
Survivors include his wife, Martine Noffsinger Vincent; 2 children, Joyce Willis of Central City and Michael Vick of Henderson; 4 sisters, Lonell Key, June Green, and Wanda Browning all of Greenville and Freda Fowler of Graham; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Feb. 17 at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with the Revs. E. W. Greenwalt and Kyle Noffsinger officiating. Burial followed in New Cypress Cemetery.
