Truitt Brown, 89, of Brookhaven, went home to be with his Lord and Savior early on April 17, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brown; his sisters, Louise Laird, Nell Bonds, and Maxine Kelly; his brothers, Troy Brown, Ira Brown, Talmadge Brown and George Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Earnestine Quinn Brown; daughters, and sons-in-laws, Dr. David and Pamela Savell of Lebanon, Tenn., and David and Brenda Bokanyi of Pensacola, Fla; his brother Robert Brown; his grandchildren, Alan Savell, M.D., Truitt Savell, D.D.S., M.D., and Shannon Kane; and his great-grandchildren, Truitt David Savell, Riley Savell, Ashley Kane, Sarah Beth Savell and Kendall Kane.
Visitation was Tuesday, April 19, from noon until 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with services immediately following at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Chapel. Interment was at Riverwood Memorial Park.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a memorial be made to the Brookhaven First Baptist Church endowment fund.
