ALICE VIRGINIA (FOX) BELL, 15 East Water St., Smithsburg, died at her home Wednesday afternoon, after a long illness, aged 90 years.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Fox, Roanoke College, Salem, Va. In January, 1900, she married Dr. Charles K. Bell. They resided in the in the South before moving to Smithburg before moving to Smithsburg 14 years ago.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the Church of the Ascension, Columbia, S.C., and attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Smithsburg.
Surviving besides husband are nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Harry Yeide, Jr. Interment will be in the Smithsburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
