Dick proudly served his country in the United States Army. He received a patent for inventing a knitting machine and followed professional wrestling extensively. Dick was a machinist by trade and was dedicated to his profession. Dick enjoyed dancing and working with his hands.
He was truly a people person and a "Jack of all Trades and a Master of All."
Dick was also the owner of R. Brandi Ind. Co. Machine and Welding Shop.
Born in Norristown on March 7, 1926, he was the son of the late Dominick and Archangela (Muscarelli).
Surviving are his wife, Mary V. (Bucci) with whom he shared 31 years of marriage; his daughter, Marlene Tarloski and her husband Bob of Norristown; his two sons: Richard Brandi of Eagleville and Tom Brandi and his wife Maureen of Norristown; his four grandchildren: Christopher Vacante and Richie, Jason, and Daniel Brandi; and his two sisters: Theresa Bidden of Lansdale and Julie Barbone of Norristown.
Dick's Life Celebration will be on Friday, Aug. 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike and his Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Johnson Highway and New Hope Street. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the A.R. Brandi Foundation, 1907 Wayne Drive, Norristown, PA 19403.
