He is the Son of Robert Neeson and Susan Nee Gray of Belfast Ireland. He came to America in 1870, Locating in Cass County, Il and engage in Milling then he came to cooper co, Mo engage in Milling IN 1875 Came to Sedalia, MO Own the Farmers MIll where he gas since been in Busineess.
The City Mills of Sedalia, Mo Which is a flouring mill is located onthe corner of Lafayett and Third Street. It has a capacity of grinding from 250 to 300 bushels of grain in a day. The Property is worth about $7,000.00 IN 1881

Charles was the son of Robert Thomas Neeson and Mary Susan Gray. He immigrated from Ireland to Canada after his wife and 2 children died during the potato famine. He stayed in Canada for a few years and then came to America in 1870 in Cass County, Illinois and engaged in milling 1 year. He also married his 2nd wife Angeline Higginson November 28, 1872. after her death he moved to Cooper County, Missouri where he again engaged in milling until 1875 when he came to Sedalia, Petitis County, Missouri and bought interest in the Farmer's Mill located on Lafayette and Third streets and the name was changed to City Mill. He then married Martha Jane Franklin and had 3 children in Sedalia then moved to Brush Creek south of Thomas Hill, Randolph County, Missouri. Rest of their children were born there. They then moved to Grand Center north of Brush Creek and south of Kaseyviile, Missouri. Here they stay until their deaths. It is said that when Jane died he went and ordered a stone for her and his brogue was so thick that they thought he said Jennie, which is the name on her stone. One of Charles's decendents, Doris Neeson Gatterman lived in Kaseyville until her death.
