William V. Bailey, 69, Evansville and formerly of Terre haute, died at 11 p.m. Monday in Evansville
He was born Dec. 14, 1915, in Paris, Ill., to William Bailey and Ruth Ann Gilbert Bailey. His wife, Dorothy, died in 1962. Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Elaine Bailey; his mother, Ruth Yargus, Poseyville; one sister Kathlyn Fisher, New Harmony; and one half-brother, James Martin, Cedar Falls, Iowa. He was a member of Eugene Pate American Legion Post, Evansville.
Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. today in Thomas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rod MacArthur officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is from noon to time of services.
