Graveside services for Wayne Anderson, 88, were at The Christian Church Cemetery. Brantley-Phillips Funeral home in Hernando had charge.
Mr. Anderson died at his home on September 15, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Martha M. Anderson.
He served in the Europeon Theater with the 3rd Infantry Division 441st Battalion where he rceeived the Bronze Star.
He was past board member of the Hernando Schools, Desoto County Co-Op, The Federal Land Bank, Farm Bureau, Producers Gin and the Desoto County Board of Adjustment.
He leaves daughters, Tallulah A. Redding, Sharon Anderson; son, Andy Anderson (Connie), all of Hernando; grandchildren, Martha M. PLaster (Todd) of Little Rock, AR., Kim Gitter (Tracy), Lee Anderson (Emily), John Wayne Anserson and Allison Walker (Adam); five great-grandchildren, all of Hernando.
