Mrs. Sara Ellen Deardorff, wife of Harry William Deardorff, of Cashtown, died at the Annie M Warner Hospital following a six months illness aged 48 years, 4 months and 3 days. She was a daughter of the late Issac Washington and Sarah Elizabeth Hartman Bucher, of Franklin township and spent her entire life in that township. She is survived by her husband, one son, Kermit H and one daughter, Miss Mildred E Deardorff, two brothers, Larkin Bucher of near Gettysburg, and Harry G Bucher, of Seven Stars, and two sisters, Mrs. Harner Eckert, of New Oxford, and Mrs. Clinton Deardorff, of near Gettysburg. Funeral was held on Friday afternoon, services by Rev Dr. D T Koser, her pastor for many years, assisted by the Rev Mr. Berkey, supply pastor at Flohr’s Church, of which she was a member, with interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
