Willis Reid Slimmer, Jr. died on Thursday, May 14, 1987 at 11:20 p.m. Age 68 years. Beloved husband of Iris Stokes Slimmer. Father of Gordon Willis Slimmer, Reid Slimmer, Billye Ann Slimmer, Beverly Slimmer Kohutek and Barrett Slimmer. brother of Joan Slimmer, Frank Slimmer, James Slimmer and the late Robert Slimmer; also survived by 5 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel, 5100 Ponchatrain Blvd. (in Matairie Cemetery) on Monday May 18, 1987 at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday evening, 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Monday morning 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
