In East Haven, April 30, 2008 Melvin Biedryck (Biedrzycki), 92, a resident of the Talmadge Park Nursing Home, former lifelong resident of Branford. Father of the late Melchoir J. Biedrzycki.

Grandfather of Denise Szczech, Geoffrey Wagner and Laura Ponzio. Great grandfather of Julia, Stephanie, Matthew, Erika, Alexander, Gabriel, Aissa and Anais, brother of Cecille Biedrzycki, Matthew Biedryck and the late Loretta Biedrzycki, Jane Biedrzycki and Mary Dombrowski.

Also survived by a very special daughter-in-law Jacqueline Biedrzycki.

Born Nov. 25, 1915 in Branford, a son of the late Joseph and Cestawa Borowska Biedrzycki, he was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven and had been employed for many years as a steel worker with several area companies including Conn.

Steel and Park City Steel. Melvin was a member of the Branford Elks Lodge # 1939.

Services and interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Melvin Biedryck Memorial Scholarship Fund C/ O Pat Valente, Secretary, Branford Elks Lodge # 1939, at 158 S. Montowese St., Branford, CT 06405. Arrangements are with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
