After mariage the young couple bought land in Westernport, MD. "Recorded 6/30/1798, Alexander Baillie sold to Conrad Corbus, both of Allegany Co., Md., for $100 land in Westernport on the east side of Main Street. Mary Baillie agreed. Recording fee: 22 pounds of Tobacco." Then sold it in 1802 to James Morrison for $100 and another parcel of land in Westernport.

Data recorded on the 1800,1810, 1820 & 1830 census in Allegany Co., MD. In 1820 Conrad, age 48, is head of houshold of 6 and listed as a farmer. It looks like a daughter and 2 grandchildren under 10 years and his wife would account for the household.

They were members of First Methodist Episcopal Church Frostburg, Maryland per the Members List Rigister, 1838-1852.

His marker states he was born in 1772 and died 1839. His grave is the only Corbus grave marked with a stone.
