A. WILLIAM "BILL" BARE: of Yucaipa, CA, passed away on April 18, 2011. He was 73. Bill was a long time resident of Chino, California. He was born April 10, 1938, in Buellton, California, to William and Alva Bare. The family moved to Chino in 1940, and lived on the Southwest corner of Benson and Riverside drive, where they farmed corn and alfalfa. He was a graduate of Chino High School, class of 1956. Active in 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America). In 1962 he went to work for the Chino Post Office, moved to Ross Avenue and started a family. Bill was active in the Chino community coaching basketball and softball. He was an active member of Chino's 20-30 Club. He worked 35 years for the Chino Post office and farmed part-time. He grew red potatoes and employed many high school students throughout the years. After retiring from the Post office, Bill relocated to Yucaipa, where he was Manager of North View Mobile Estates. The last few years he spent tooling around in his backyard garden and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Pat Bare of Yucaipa; his Mom, Alva Bare of Oregon; brothers, Ted Bare & Harold Bare (Melody) of Oregon; his sister, Yvonne Hults, (Roger) also of Oregon; his 7 children, Linda Marshall (Darren), DiAnna Bare Tefft, Bob Hulgan, SuZan Bare Dunow (Gordon), John Hulgan, Laura Silveria (Tony), Teddy Fender; and his beloved dog, Pierre. He had 11 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Guy Bare, and his sister, Dianna Bare. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington, Colton CA. Published in Inland Valley Daily Bulletin on April 24, 2011.
