John Joseph Kane was born July 1, 1897 at Seneca to Cornelius and Ellen (Nugent) Kane. He passed away at his home in Lancaster on November 10, 1941 at the age of 44. He came to Lancaster in 1928 and was employed by the highway commission until his death.
On January 15, 1934, he married Helen Pink. For the past six years he had been in failing health and during this time had been a very patient sufferer.
John is survived his wife, his father, and four brothers, Dennis, William, James and Daniel Kane; two sisters Nellie Cull and Mary Groom. He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister Mary Maude Kane.
