Funeral services for Elmer D Van Ostrand, 76, of Ingram will be held Wednesday at 10 am from the chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Gene Mabry officiating. Interment will be in the Nichols Cemetery. He died Sunday morning in a local hospital.
Born September 30, 1903 in Chambers County, Texas, he had been a resident of Kerr County for 18 years. He was a member of the Junction Church of Christ, a veteran of the army and a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs Jewel S Miller of Victoria and Mrs Pat Williams of Bossier City, Louisiana; two sons, R.E. Van Ostrand of Ingram and T.C. Van Ostrand of Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters, Mrs Gladys Lang of Houston and Isabell Northcutt of Normangree; two brothers, W.D. Van Ostrand of Ingram and Melvin Van Ostrand of Houston; 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
