Oshkosh Daily Northwestern Tues. March 19, 1957 pg.4-Miss Achtmann Dies at hospital-Miss Hattie C. Achtmann, 71 of 265 Parkway, died today at 3:30 a.m. at Mercy Hospital. Hospitalized since Sunday, she had been in failing health for the past three years. She was born Aug. 20, 1885 in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Achtmann. Miss Achtmann was formerly employed as a sales lady by Stein's and Boston Store, retiring three years ago. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Pauline Rohrlack, Indianapolis, Ind., three brothers, Herman Achtmann, Ontario, Canada, Otto Achtamnn, Oshkosh, and Max Achtmann, Detroit, Mich; and several nieces and nephews. One sister Mrs. Leo Mielke preceeded her in death. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Spikes, McDonald & Hartford Funeral Home, with the Rev. B.H. Romanowski, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Wednesday at 4 p.m. until the hour of services.
