Funeral services for Mrs. J.L. Jordan, of Graham, were conducted by Rev. T.H. Burton at the First Methodist Church in Olney.
Mary Margaret Howell spent her early school days in the Randolph College in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She moved from there to Throckmorton County and married J.L. Jordan on 12 December 1888.
The first years of their married life were spent on the Reynolds ranch in Throckmorton County. They moved near Jean, Young County, Texas in 1893, living there until October 1935 when they moved to Grahamm.
Mrs. Jordan was an active member of the Methodist church since 1895.
Survivors: husband; eight daughters - Mrs. Annie Sewell of Shamrock; Mrs. Lola Harie of Southland, Mrs. Medora Elliott of Graham, Mrs. Jewell Cumpton of Abilene, Mrs. Jessie Hawkins of Waurika, OK; Mrs. Lois Hawkins of Spearman, Mrs. Vera Brooks of Cohoma, Miss Jeffie Jordan of Davenport, IA; two sons - Allen Jordan of Jean and Grady of Graham; sister - Mrs. Jinnie Dudley of Redmond, OR; 14 grandchildren.
