Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Norman Schmutz, Ronnie Hawthorne, Ned Steelman, Henry Struchtemeyer, James Kristoff, John Shobe, Larry Sanders and Ron Kristoff.
Mrs. Shackelford died Tuesday night at a hospital in Gary, Ind.

Survivors: 2 children, Mrs Elsie Thomas of Gary, Mrs Mary Kristoff, Hebron; 5 grandchidlren, 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services Friday, August 18, 1972 at Sweeney Phillips funder Home at Warrensburg, Missouri. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 7 til 9 p.m. at the Kulper Home 9039 Kleinman. (2 blocks south of Ridge Road) Higland. She was a member of the Zion United Lutheran Church in Mayview, Missouri. Memorial may be given to the Ameircan Cancer Socieity

Born Sept 11, 1899 in Fremont, Ill she was the daughter of Samuel R. and Dorothy Unsicker Schmutz. She had lived in Hammon sicne 19_5 having taught school many years in the Warrensburg are and Illinois school systems. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Mayview. Mrs. Shackelford was married to Lee Roy Shacke0ford Dec 15, 1923 and he preceded her in Death Jan 16, 1963. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Edsel (Elsie Margaret) Thomas and Mrs James (Mary Lou) Kristoff, both of Gary Ind., five sisters mrs Martin Sanders and mrs Edwin Struchcemeyer, both of Mayview, Mrs Norris Steelman, ODesssa, Mrs John Salyer, Nashville, tnn and mrs Jess Flassing, Liberty, two brothers Sylvan Schmutz and Charles Schmutz, both of Mayview, five grandchildren, three grandchildren and three step grandchildren. She was preceded in Death by three brothers. Funeral services will be hled at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Sweeney-Phillips Chapel with the Rev. Frank myers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive freinds from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorow at the Chapel.
