Born about 1803 in Bath County, Kentucky. Died at Marshall, Missouri about 1897 at 94 years of age.

Birth and death not shown on stone at Shiloh Cemetery near Marshall, Missouri, and there are no records in County or Church files. Because of inability to authenticate these important dates, it is not known for certain whether he, or his Granddaughter, Eliza Jane Miller Duvall, lived to be the oldest.

There is also some conflict as to who was the wife of Robert M. Miller. Some say Ophelia Ann Trumbo (Harrison Miller's middle name is Trumbo). Ophelia reputedly was born in Bath County, Kentucky about 1822 and died at Marshall, Missouri about 1887.

However, the stone alongside Robert M. Miller's grave at the Shiloh Cemetery near Marshall, Missouri shows the name Fieldann Grey Miller.

Robert and Fieldann had eight children - 5 boys and 3 girls.
