She was born January 1, 1916 in Alcorn County, MS to Thomas David Killough and Hillard "Lena" (Thompson) Killough.
Mrs. Alexander was a member of Holly Baptist Church and a former employee of Weaver Pants Factory.
She married Benjamin Haul Alexander on November 19, 1938. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2001.
Survivors include two daughters Betty Carolyn (Alexander) Hinton and her husband Otis of Paris, TN and Ruth Ann (Alexander) Cooper and her husband Thomas of Sumrall, MS; a sister, Eula Agnes (Killough) Mattox and her husband Herman of Sardis, MS; four grandchildren, Faith Walker, Hope Cooper, Scott Cooper and Cody Cooper; four great grandchildren, Talley Walker, Shelton Walker, Cole Cooper and Joshua Cooper; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin "Haul" Alexander; her parents, Thomas David Killough and Hillard "Lena" (Thompson) Killough. ; six brothers, Arnold Killough, Arlin McClellan "Clell" Killough, Willis Clifton "Cliff" Killough, William "Lois" Killough, Thomas "Milton" Killough and Lowell Morris Killough; four sisters, Alice "Myrtle" (Killough) Calvary, Maudie Mae (Killough) Spencer, Annie Bell (Killough) Michael and Lillian "Gertrude" (Killough) Rodgers.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth, MS, with Bro. Keith Dowden officiating.
Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park (now known as Magnolia Gardens Cemetery), Corinth, Alcorn Co., MS.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Baptist Church Cemetery Building Fund, 172 CR 713, Corinth, MS or The American Cancer Society.
