RALEIGH—Ada Grace Alford Woodlief, 89, of 6200 Old Wake Forest Road, died Thursday, September 14, 2006 at the home of her daughter. Ada Grace was born in Wake County on October 17, 1916 to the late Johnnie Alford and Mattie Perry Alford.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, with Reverend John Nickalson officiating. Burial, Oak Grove Baptist church cemetery, 1487 NC Highway 96 East, Youngsville, NC 27596.
Surviving: children, Gail Deluca and her husband, Ralph of Raleigh, Buddy Woodlief of Garner, David Woodlief and his wife, Rhonda of Raleigh, Cindy Payne of Jonas Ridge; grandchildren, Chris Wilson and his wife, Mindy, Brian Woodlief, Heather Dail and her husband, Travis, Matt Woodlief, Brent Woodlief, Travis Payne, and Kyle Woodlief; six great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Alford of Zebulon; sisters, Christine Alford of Zebulon, Ruth A. Hicks of Zebulon, Sylvia A. Bolton of Raleigh; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis S. Woodlief; son-in-law, Clifford Payne; brother, Jesse B. "Bill" Alford, Sr.; sister, Mavis A. Johnson.
